The Australian Federal Election 2007


The Australian Federal Election will take place on Saturday 24 November 2007. Voting services for eligible voters will be provided by the Australian High Commission in Honiara.

Pre-Poll Voting

Pre-poll votes may be cast at the Australian High Commission. The polling booth will be open 8 a.m. to 1.30 p.m. Monday to Friday from 12 to 23 November 2007.

Postal Voting

Postal voting services will also be available. However, it is recommended that eligible voters attend the High Commission to submit a pre-poll vote. This will avoid the possibility of ballot papers being lost in the mail. Postal votes must be received at the High Commission by close of business on 22 November 2007.
